RUTH HEYWARD, ABR, ASR, GRI, SRS is an Associate Broker with Signature Properties Group, Inc. on St. Simons Island. She has been licensed since 1999 and obtained her brokers license in 2002. In 2004 she obtained her ASR designation, in 2005 her GRI designation, 2007 her ABR and 2009 her SRS. She is right now working on her CRS and CIPS designation and hopes to have these two by the end of this year. Presently she is the Associate Dean for the GRI program and a member in the GARs Grievance Committee. She also serves in the GARs Professional Development Committee and in the GARs Course & InstructorsDevelopment Committee.
In her Board, the Golden Isles Association of REALTORS, she is the Chair of the Education Committee as well as Chair of the Equal Opportunity -Cultural Diversity Committee. She also serves as a member of the Grievance Committee. She is a Board Director for 2009-2011. Ruth just got appointed to VP Professional Development. She also lends her time to Rotary and has been an active member for several years.
In 2007 Ruth started working as a CASA Volunteer (Court Appointed Special Advocate for children), where she presently handles one case. CASA volunteers are appointed by the Juvenile Judge to watch over and advocate for abused and neglected children so they dont get lost in the legal and social service system or end up in an inappropriate home. She spends a lot of time visiting these children, which fulfills her.
She was born in Switzerland, moved to the U.S. in 1996 and became a U.S. citizen in 2000. Apart from speaking several languages (English, French, German, Spanish and some Italian), she is also actively playing and competing tennis through USTA (U.S. Tennis Association).
She is a strong believer in continued education and is very proud when she got appointed to the GRI Board of Governors in 2006 up to date. Through her genuine character, integrity and professional attitude, she has earned respect by her clients and peers.
